I was very disappointed that I did not receive the book in a timely manner. I was told a week after I ordered that they did not have it in stock as they thought they did and I could cancel if I did not want to wait for it. I then tried to cancel and was told it had been shipped. I had to wait 2 weeks before getting it and was very frustrated.

Yes, yes. It’s a good book. No one is saying it isn’t in line with Tolle’s general view. And it’s well-written. But I’m going to give some consideration to what some very intelligent people are saying about the messenger. It is important. And I can’t help but notice that the reviewers writing this off are both MALE. (”Clowns”?)
I am female and I am definitely looking at this. Why? Because I know if Eckhart were female, that person would have never gotten such praise. We are trained to think of “God” as Male from toddler-hood. Yes, it leaves an impression as to who has spiritual “authority”. That this other person was saying Tolle is Sexist–no one seemed to bat an eyelash. “Clowns”? Hardly. Those entries are smart and thought-provoking commentaries. Very legitimate. And yes, they aren’t exactly referring to Tolle BEFORE his big spiritual breakthrough. (Glastonbury, England is where Tolle lived back in the early 90’s.) Or that “detachment” is ok in the light of morality. He’s a big spiritual guy, that Tolle, so he’s excused. Right? You bet that’s a typical male viewpoint.
How nonsensical!.

I am going to tell you what I believe. I believe this is a work of the devil to draw christians away from Jesus Christ. If you notice, the media, and everywhere we go, there are things trying to draw us away from Jesus Christ. Even religious holidays are covered up with nonreligious icons like The Easter bunny, and Santa Clause. THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END. WE ARE GOING THROUGH A SPIRITUAL WAR. THE DEVIL WANTS US TO BELIEVE THERE IS NO JESUS CHRIST AND THAT HE CAN’T SAVE US AND THAT WE CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT HIM. THIS IS THE DEVIL’S PLAN. ONCE HE HAS YOU WHERE HE WANTS YOU, HE CAN TAKE OVER.
I would like to share you about my experience. I thought I could live not believeing Jesus died for our sins and that he can’t save us, but I was mistaken. Good things actually happened to me, but one day I saw a spirit of the devil that was trying to take over my soul. As soon as I asked Jesus to protect me, I was saved. The spirit disappeared and I was alive. LET ME SAY AGAIN, THIS IS A SPIRITUAL WAR WE ARE GOING THROUGH. THE ONLY WAY TO WIN IS TO BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST AND THAT’S ALL. ISN’T THAT AMAZING! JESUS PEOPLE ARE NOT SUFFERING. I MAY NOT HAVE A LOT OF MONEY BUT I AM DOING FINE AND I AM HAPPY. GOD’S PEOPLE ARE EVERYWHERE TO WARN PEOPLE ABOUT HOW JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS AND HOW WE CAN HAVE LIFE FOREVER WITH HIM. THE WAY TO WIN IN THIS CHRISIS IS TO BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS, AND THAT’S ALL!!! WE ALSO HAVE TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE IN DISBELIEF AND PRAY FOR THEM. IF WE BELIEVE WE HAVE SINNED, WE MUST REPENT, AND THAT’S ALL. ISN’T THAT EASY!!!!!!!!

I gave one star to get your attention.
In this relative world of “ours” as it is well proven by all the reviews posted here, all the negative as well as all the positive points of view towards the book, some call it better/and /or worse than his previous work. It’s all relative, the fact that you choose to cling to one idea of how things work or how things should work is irrelevant, the author doesn’t even care, he is just stating facts that you may or may not be aware of.
I myself feel like I’d jumped in the bandwagon, and joined all the supposedly reviews of the book which are no more than mere opinions of their own either contradicting the book or agreeing with it. (duhhh)
So here it goes, I am the typical 32 year old man who wakes up in the
in the morning wondering why am I here at all in this world. I am afraid of death as most people are, I am also in a constant state of unhappiness, the only thing that provides some satisfaction is
as with most man sex, yet the rest of the day is just a waiting period untill I go to sleep and then the same thing the next morning, this book addresses all these subjects and lot more with such an unusual perspective that either you love it or hate it, as I stated in the begining it’s all relative, but what really matters
is that is has the power to shake the very foundations of any beliefs that you hold to be true at the present moment.
I know that you don’t care what makes me happy, what my gender is or any of the things I descrived here about myself, this so called “review” is for all those men who share the same miserable
life as I do to go ahead and give this book a chance. Don’t be afraid, be prepared though because is not easy to digest such profound content.
Also I got tired of the tone of most reviews here the stereotypical guy who meditates all day and thinks that “he’s made it” just by reading the book.
No, it won’t solve your problems,,, just buy the dammed book you’ll be glad you did, or will you? …
